Rakuten
Do you shop online? Do you enjoy FREE money? Then you're in the right place! I'm here to tell you about my newest obsession, Rakuten! Formerly known as eBates, Rakuten is a cash back website that gives you cash back just for shopping through their platform! If you know me or have been following along with my Instagram page or my blog then you may have realized that I like easy things. I'm not into things that are overly complicated, let's put it this way.... I'm lazy. Rakuten is easy, simple, and user friendly.

I started using Rakuten right before the holiday season. A few friends had been suggesting it to me and were shocked when I told them that I wasn't using it. I did some research and made an account. I tend to do a lot of online shopping during the holiday season so I thought it was a great time to try Rakuten out! At first I thought, is this really worth it? Especially when I saw things like 1% cash back. I told myself to give it a chance and try it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had accumulated over $15 from my holiday shopping, just for a few extra clicks that took maybe 5 extra seconds. While it may not seem like a lot at first, just remember that it all adds up in the end it's more then you had to begin with. The money I earned from my holiday shopping can pay for a lunch out with a friend or a new top! #treatyoself

My cash back earnings from the holidays-see below
When you first pull up Rakuten on your phone or computer you will see all the different stores that are currently offering cash back deals. These stores and the percentage of cash back change frequently. Just about every store you can think of is on Rakuten. However, they have "featured" stores on the home page (see first photo at the top) that may be more popular or more well known! To find a store you can simply just search the store you are looking for in the search bar at the top of the page!
Once you have found the store you're looking for, all you need to do is hit one more button! Click "shop now" and you will be redirected to the stores website! Any purchase you make will automatically connect to your Rakuten account. It may take a day or two to show up and process so if you don't see it right away, don't worry.
Rakuten is great for earning free money on things you're already buying but they also have a section on their website where you can see all the different sales, specials, and offers that stores are currently offering! Sometimes it can be a hassle trying to keep track and remember everything! Rakuten helps keep it all organized in one spot. Simply click the "hot deals" tab to learn more about special offers from all your favorite stores!
If you sign up for Rakuten, be sure to spend $25 within your fist month! By doing this you will earn a $10 bonus! This bonus will automatically be applied to your account. To receive your money/ cash back earnings, you can chose to either receive a check in the mail or have the money deposited straight into your PayPal account. I have done both and have not had an issue with either option.
